MENA Openingsconcert

Het NNO opent het Stadsprogramma MENA met een speciaal concert. Op het programma, onder leiding van dirigent Tom Cohen, staat muziek uit het Midden Oosten en Noord Afrika. Het is een fusion programma met de klankkleuren van daar. De solist van de avond is de Marokkaanse zangeres Dalal Barnoussi.

Mohamedou Ould Slahi, schrijver in residence bij NITE, geeft de aftrap voor het openingsconcert. Hij schreef in Guantánamo Bay zijn Guantánamo Diary dat een internationale bestseller werd. Het vormde de basis voor de voorstelling Freedom van NITE Club Guy & Roni en Slagwerk Den Haag.

The NNO opens the MENA is here city program with a unique concert. The program, led by conductor Tom Cohen, features music from the Middle East and North Africa. It is a fusion program with the timbres from the MENA region. The soloist of the evening is the Moroccan singer Dalal Barnoussi.

Mohamedou Ould Slahi, writer in residence at NITE, kicks off the opening concert. He wrote his Guantánamo Diary in Guantánamo Bay, which became an international bestseller.
