Associate 1st Concertmaster / 2nd Concertmaster (80 – 100%)

The Northern Netherlands Symphony Orchestra (NNO) is a versatile and leading symphony orchestra that explores new paths in special programs based on the following: performing and developing the symphonic repertoire at a high level.

The NNO is the orchestra of the three northern provinces in the Netherlands and has Groningen as its location. The orchestra performs in concert halls, at outdoor events, schools and other locations. The orchestra also travels to other venues around the country such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.

As a symphony orchestra we bring with great pleasure as many people as possible into contact with classical music. This automatically means that we value a diverse workforce. It is precisely the diversity in the orchestra community, the quality of the musicians and of the programming that makes the NNO a special orchestra.

Starting this season Eivind Gullberg Jensen is the Chief Conductor of the NNO. Principal Guest Conductors are Hartmut Haenchen and Antony Hermus. Michel Tabachnik fulfills the position of Conductor Emeritus.
