NNO Intro Live is for everyone who sometimes feels a little lost in the world of symphonies, orchestras and composers
Before various NNO concerts, musicians, conductors, composers, musicologists or soloists offer an accessible and contemporary introduction to the concert programme.
What is the most challenging piece to perform? Why were these particular works chosen for the programme? Why did the composer make certain artistic choices?
There’s also time to answer questions from the audience. In addition, NNO Intro Live attendees receive a discount on tickets for the concert featured in that edition. So come, watch and listen!
Discover the stories behind the music
This edition is all about Symphonie Fantastique by Hector Herlios. It’s a revolutionary piece with folk influences. Ask all your questions about symphonic music, the orchestra or this piece in particular. Host Tea Stamhuis (theory teacher at Prins Claus Conservatorium) or one of the other guests will tell you everything about it!
