NNO Intro Live is for everyone who sometimes feels a little lost in the world of symphonies, orchestras and composers
Before various NNO concerts, musicians, conductors, composers, musicologists or soloists offer an accessible and contemporary introduction to the concert programme.
What is the most challenging piece to perform? Why were these particular works chosen for the programme? Why did the composer make certain artistic choices?
There’s also time to answer questions from the audience. So come, watch and listen!
Discover the stories behind the music
This edition is all about Symphonie Fantastique by Hector Herlios. It’s a revolutionary piece with folk influences. Ask all your questions about symphonic music, the orchestra or this piece in particular. Ask all your questions about symphonic music, orchestra life, or this specific symphony to host Hannah Tomasini or to one of our other table guests: musicians Stefan Kirschbaum, Gijs Lacuelle, Jan Ype Nota, and Benedicte Zeitun, or to general director Liesbeth Kok!
